In this example the average usage would be, you use 2 Bananas every week on Friday and Saturday. This starts from 23 Jan, 2012. Also if the amount of Bananas in Fridgie reaches 2 Items (meaning 2 bananas), it will be marked as running out soon.
When you add an item to Fridge you can specify how it is measured. This can either be as:
Items are things measured singularly. (eg. 5 apples are called 5 items).
Note: If you select “item“ as the unit by which you measure the item, when you specify it’s usage, this also has to be by “item“.
Eg. You have 5 orange “items“ in your fridge and you use 1 every day.
We have done our best to ensure measurement conversions are calculated accurately. All measurements should be based on US units. In the future, it may be possible to use UK units. For more details on measurement conversions tap here.
When you click on the Chefs hat, it will indicate that you have cooked the recipe. Item amounts will then be updated based on the items used in the recipe. The item view details will show that the last usage of this item was in the recipe.
When you click on the Shopping icon, the recipe ingredients where the quantity required is not available, will be added to the shopping list. This means you only buy what you need for the recipe.
When this message appears, you must update the ingredient quantity unit.
The message occurs because an ingredient is linked to a Fridgie "Item". That item quantity unit is different to the one used in the recipe. It can not be converted.
For example, the recipes state that you need 1 Tsp of Sugar, but the item quantity unit is set to "Item" (We have 100 items of cube sugar). Substracting Tsp from Item is not possible.
